Background:
Christopher Whitehead High School is a secondary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is 11 to 16. The school occupies a large site on the west bank of the River Severn with views of the Malvern Hills and of Worchester City and its Cathedral. The school was formed in 1983 by the amalgamation of two schools and its buildings vary in age and architecture. The school aims to provide broad and balanced curriculum. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include football, netball, cricket, hockey and rugby. The school aims to maintain a stimulating, positive environment in which all members of the school are valued and individual excellence is recognised.
