Background:
Worcester, Pitmaston Primary School is a primary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is five to 11. It was opened on 1st March 1948. In 1955 the first phase of the building programme was completed and the junior hall, offices and four classrooms built. In 1971 four more junior classrooms and a new infant school were built. The school aims to provide a broad and balanced curriculum. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. These activities include football, netball, cricket, hockey and rugby. The school aims to provide a happy and secure environment where pupils learn to have respect for themselves and others.
